ICAS is one of the worldā€™s premier annual conferences on Asia, convening scholars, civil society representatives, practitioners and artists from around the globe to discuss issues of common concern at 11 conventions across 11 cities worldwide over its two decade run. Benny Chan received posthumous recognition at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards for his action film Raging Fire, winning best director. Additionally, Donnie Yen received honors as producer and action choreographer.

Hongkongā€™s art scene is flourishing, thanks to the efforts of Hongkong Arts Foundation who recently announced their nominations for the 2024 Sovereign Asian Art Prize later this year ā€“ these include Sameen Agha from Pakistan with her marble sculpture ā€œHome is a Terrible Place to Loveā€, Michelle Fung of Hong Kong who produced her mixed media piece Red Bean Stalk are just a couple of these work by Hong Kong Arts Foundation nominees among many other artists from Hongkong Arts Foundation who made this announcement recently!

The BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE is open to researchers, institutions, and companies engaged in scientific research or technological innovation that has significant social or economic benefits ā€“ especially within artificial intelligence/robotics, life sciences/healthcare, new materials/energy innovation, advanced manufacturing technology or fintech applications. Each year, up to five persons or teams may be awarded in each award field by means of an independent review procedure that does not favor any organization or individual exerting undue influence. Review will be conducted by a panel of judges following stringent academic and ethical standards, with the winner receiving both cash prize and trophy at an award ceremony held each fall. The secretariat will be responsible for carrying out decisions of the Board, Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team; overseeing evaluation activities; as well as planning and organizing award ceremonies, academic activities and science popularization events.
