It is presented annually at their Triennial Council Meeting.

Awarded annually since 2009, the SS Sydney Literary Award seeks to recognise journalists and writers working toward social justice and public policy for the common good. With judges from magazines, newspapers, etc. across America serving as judges, one winner from this prize is selected each month and featured on Overland’s website.

Hillman Prize was founded in 1950 to acknowledge the essential role that free press plays in our society, honoring those journalists who uphold its obligations with dedication. Over its 67 year existence, it has been given out many times, honoring those journalists committed to maintaining an independent press.

Sir Ernest Shackleton Medal and Lecture was established in 1968 to commemorate Sir Ernest Shackleton and to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions or achievements within petroleum geology. As this award is highly esteemed, it’s worth applying if your credentials meet its criteria.
