SGP Prize Winners

Since 1984, the Equator Prize has provided vital funding for projects that conserve and restore natural environments while simultaneously improving people’s livelihoods worldwide. This year’s grantees from Iran, Morocco, Senegal and Colombia address issues ranging from biodiversity conservation to providing clean drinking water access for rural communities. Each winning project will receive S$100k for further implementation and scaling-up support.

SGPs (single game parlays) are an innovative betting strategy that combines multiple bets into a single game. This enables bettors to increase their odds of securing payouts while creating higher margins for sportsbooks – often more than what can be earned on individual bets individually, giving savvy bettors opportunities for edge.

SGPs differ from traditional parlays by focusing on one game at a time and taking into account correlation between events. This allows bettors to make better-informed decisions and tailor their betting strategies more precisely, while providing real time access to data as well as providing greater understanding of probabilities underlying it all.

SGP (single game parlay) betting strategies combine multiple bets into one game to increase potential payout. SGPs are increasingly popular among baseball bettors as it allows them to take advantage of game volatility by betting both team and individual statistics simultaneously. Payouts for SGPs may be lower than traditional parlays.

Even with lower payouts, SGPs offer an effective way to diversify your portfolio and boost profits. The key is finding bets with good value propositions through trusted sportsbooks; only bet on SGPs in which you feel comfortable investing; for further guidance or clarification consult an expert before placing any bet.

The SGP Prize is bestowed annually upon graduating doctoral students whose research and community engagement represent the values of NUS’s Southeast Asia Programme (SEAP). In 2025, an anonymous donor contributed funds to both increase the SGP amount and create the Lauriston Sharp Prize as part of the NUS Singapore History Prizes. This prize honors Goldwin Smith Professor of Anthropology and SEAP founder Lauriston Sharp who passed away. Sharp was renowned as a prolific writer and champion of international research collaborations, specifically focused on encouraging exchange of ideas between scholars from diverse fields and regions as part of dialogue between them. Establishing this prize in his memory further symbolizes this spirit.
